Press Kit

The Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc is a sporting event that receives widespread media coverage (television, written press, radio, Internet).

International media coverage

Media outlets around the world, such as TF1, France 2, France 3, M6, 2M Morocco, VSD, Chérie FM, Hit Radio, CBS, ESPN, TVA propulsion and the Huffington post, report on the exploits and experiences of the women taking part in the event.

Some 100 journalists attend the event each year. Resources are put in place at the Rallye to enable them to relay the event: media vehicles, media room, video editing studio, media information centre, daily image bank (video and photo).

The organization provides daily press releases, video and photo footage, interviews live from the bivouac, live team tracking on the Rallye website. In the interest of quality, performance and service, all image production for the Rallye is managed by Maïenga, whose role is therefore that of producer as well as event organiser.

On-Site Production

Video production

The video team produces daily reports that are transmitted via satellite to the USA, Canada, Europe, Morocco… They work in close collaboration with the TV networks covering the event.

Each day, a helicopter and 4×4 vehicles capture footage right in the heart of the action, and each evening, at the bivouac, a sand-proof and air-conditioned editing room provides journalists and editors with a protected workspace.

Photo Production

PHOTO PRODUCTION

A team of photographers spends long days capturing the action in pictures.
The bank of images collected is collated into a database. A high-speed satellite link at the bivouac allows immediate transfer of photos for publication. A dedicated team of technicians sorts, classifies and indexes more than a thousand photos every day.

Web and Social Media Production

A real-time team tracking is available on the website, thanks to a transmitter installed in each vehicle to transmit positions via satellite. Daily highlights are regularly published thanks to the work of journalists, coordinators, and technicians.

Each day, rankings are posted online along with a full recap of the stage including photos and videos.
