The “Car Manufacturers and Media Relay”

Since 2001, car manufacturers and media organisations have been joining forces to champion the humanitarian cause of their choice. This is a concept created by the Rallye that gives rise to a special ranking within the event.

The participating teams, sponsored by a car manufacturer and a media organisation, have two challenges:

1.    To promote a humanitarian organisation by focusing media attention on its messages and actions, with the goal of increasing public awareness and with the possibility of winning a substantial donation.  

2.    To champion the colours of the media organisation (which provides the visibility) and the car manufacturer (which provides the necessary resources) by being the best possible ambassador for both sponsors, and by finishing honourably in the special “Car Manufacturers and Media Relay” ranking, part of the Rallye’s general ranking.
               
Since 2001, 120,000 Euros havebeen donated to various charities by the Rallye Aïcha des Gazellesthrough the Car Manufacturers and Media Relay.
