Preparations for the prize giving ceremony - full speed ahead

Since 7 o'clock this morning, while the Gazelles have been getting ready at their hotel, the 165 organizers of the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc are busy preparing the ceremonial finish on the beach, across from Hotel Atlas Essaouira.
Under a radiant sun, the final finish line is coming into being: a gang of burgundy vests carry the 4-metre high red winflags which will stand to attention for the passing of the Gazelles just one last time during this 20th edition.
Magnificently decorated Caïdal tents erected on the still-damp sand will be the setting for a celebratory glass of champagne shared by the 220 participants before making their way to the big tent in Place Moulay Hassan in the medina, where the team of Rallye organizers await to honour our Gazelles for their superb performance in this year's event.
