Sherlock Press Pilots!

At every edition of the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc, about twenty pilots (including two women this year) are charged with the mission of transporting the journalists, photographers, cameramen and celebrity guests who spend their days out on the terrain for two weeks.
Passionate 4x4 enthusiasts, retired or not, most of them have arranged their annual holidays to coincide with the dates of the Rallye. They are all volunteers, sometimes every year for the past ten years, and follow the rally behind the wheel of their own vehicles. The atmosphere on board is always congenial: insatiable when asked for anecdotes about their Rallye experiences, they always have tasty treats for their passengers.
But their mission during the event is no tourist trip. These 4x4s may be equipped with GPS, but that is not enough: they must be able to read a topographical map in order to track the Gazelles, analyze their race strategies to anticipate their trajectories and estimate the geographic point where they are most likely to be found (a gazelle in the wild will run, and in every direction!). No mathematics here, bt instinct and intuition: real detectives of the desert! They also have to meet the needs of their passengers who want to interview, film or photograph certain teams and don't understand the difficulty of the terrain or the time needed to cross a distance that may appear to be so short: we are far from the highway here. Many puzzles to solve!
