PROLOGUE

EL HAZBANE / EL HAZBANE – ideal distance 49 km – estimated minimum time 2 hrs 50 mins – Looped route

Between trails and regs, against a backdrop of sand, the prologue is a perfect warm-up, providing a good opportunity for the Gazelles to sample the various types of terrain and test their navigation skills. Good map reading will be important in meeting the challenges of the days to come. This initial ranking will be used only to determine the departure order of the teams for the next day.
