Meknès, March 17th, 2009
Cristalline and Fayrouz, partners of the Rallye, will receive the Gazelles at Winery des Cépages in Meknès for a last session of technical verifications.
A "Heart of Gazelles" workshop will be set up, where the Gazelles will deliver the donations that they have brought with them.
These donations are provided by the participants to respond to the needs of the local populations, needs identified by Heart Gazelles with the help and support of the Moroccan Ministry for Family, Solidarity and Social Development.
Rallye partner – AVILOG - TASTET Je Transporte – has provided a truck for transporting the donations to the nomadic tribes where they are most needed, as far as Lac IRIKI.
At 12:00, the participants will have lunch at the Winery before the official departure in Meknés.
15:00 - on the road to Erfoud where they will spend the night.
Tuesday March 18th, 2009
Departure at 8:00 for the EL HAZBANE bivouac – along the way, the Gazelles’ odometers will be calibrated.
At the bivouac, the 162 organizers from France, Canada, Germany, Bulgaria and Portugal will join with the 100 Moroccan organizers to provide maximum support and supervision.
14:00 Official start of the Prologue of the 19th edition of the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc.
