LEG 6

MHAMID / FOUM-ZGUID - ideal distance 280 km – estimated minimum time 21 hrs – Marathon leg

This last leg is one of the most well rounded legs of the Rallye, if not the most difficult. Taking place along the Draa, it combines sandy oueds and ergs with amazing rocky regs. The first CPs will have the Gazelles waltzing between small dunes and rocks. Landmarks are less precise, involving widths rather than height. The route passes through the largest group of dunes of the Rallye: Cheggaga, which is in fact several ergs so closely intertwined that their names are hard to identify. Once again, the Gazelles can choose part of their course according to their skill level. But while it is possible to avoid the high dunes, there is no escape from the sand. The first day is defined by sand: in the background, as a backdrop, along the edges of the route… sand is omnipresent.
