Dacia to launch its latest vehicle at the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles!

Due to hit the marketplace in April 2010, we will be offered a preview of this vehicle in action in its natural environment in March 2010: Teams 315 (I. Charles & D. Bennani) and 316 (D.Topin & N. Descout) are taking part in the 20th edition of the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles on board the DUSTER.

By taking part in the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles 2010, Dacia is testifying to its confidence in the DUSTER’s performance by taking the daring step of entering its latest 4WD in this human and sporting adventure a month before its official market launch!

ANDRE MANOUKIAN, PATRON OF HEART OF GAZELLES

André Manoukian, French songwriter, arranger, actor and jazz musician, is the patron of Heart of Gazelles.

Mary's Dream to give private concert in Essaouira on March 27th

French folk-pop-rock band Mary's Dream will close the 20th edition of the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles with a private concert during the Gala evening in Essaouira on March 27th.

The "Gazelles" team for the Mercedes-Benz Vianos is complete. Last year’s winners Anne-Marie Ortola and Jeanette James (1st image) did not have an easy choice when they selected the two race drivers from the twelve outstanding candidates (all female employees of the Daimler AG).

Those twelve were already the best of the best, being chosen from over 200 applicants and invited to...

Logica, partner of the Rallye Aïcha des gazelles

From March 13th to 26th, more than one hundred teams taking part in the 20th Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc will be voluntarily equipped with a Logica EMO (Emissions Monitoring) device, recognised by The Economist as one of 10 major innovations for reducing carbon dioxide emissions.

The goal: to measure the teams’ carbon dioxide emissions in real-time during the 2010 edition, and to reward those teams that drive in the most eco-friendly manner. In addition, the 2011 edition will become the first international sports event to consider carbon dioxide emissions among its sporting criteria.

This year, prizes will be presented to the three teams that produce the least carbon dioxide emissions during the competition. The teams’ green rankings will be updated daily at www.rallyeaichadesgazelles.com and www.logica.fr.
